Why Decriminalization?

Decriminalization of Sex Work is necessary for the safety of people in the Sex Trade.

Survivors and Sex Workers are rejecting the narrative that our lived experiences and destinies are at odds. The oversimplified dichotomy of happy hooker vs helpless victim that ignores our autonomy and attempts to diminish our collective power also serves the state and rationalizes violence against Survivors and Sex Workers.

Decriminalization in MN can honor our complex humanity and infinite nature. Survivors and Sex Workers are coming together to build on the work of Safe Harbor and to actualize a Decriminalization model that prioritizes and uplifts people in the informal street economy. The MN Model will revolutionize the cultural narrative around the Sex Trade by following the leadership of Black and Brown Trans Women, Immigrants, Survivors and thrivers of the street economy who are experts in community-based safety and care.

What is The Decrim Report?

The Decrim Report is a Policy Guide to Decriminalizing Sex Work.

This report provides a visual map of the current laws, task forces, and polices that currently criminalize sex work and the need of revision and removal.

With our Demands being met, Minnesota has the opportunity to be one of the leading states to present a more compassionate and results driven model for the safety of Sex Workers.
